Since he quit his job as a guitar player for being the singer in his band SACRIFICIUM, Claudio A. Enzler (MY DARKEST HATE / Massacre Records, SACRIFICIUM / Black Lotus Records) had the idea of a band called THY BLEEDING SKIES. The music should be Swedish Death Metal with influences of traditional Death Metal and Doom Metal.

In the middle of 2006 he asked his favourite drummer and close friend JJ Kontoniemi (ICONCLAN / Whirlwind Records, DEUTERONOMIUM / Little Rose Records, FEILED / Poko Records) from Helsinki (FIN) if he has the time and the energy for being the drummer in a German band. JJ was enthusiastic about the idea and after a short time they decided to work together.

Second and third guitar players were found after Claudio's time as a session singer in the German Black Metal band MIGHT OF LILITH. Wolfgang Nillies (who was a student of Victor Smolski / RAGE ) and Robert Krizek (LIFTHRASIL / Supreme Chaos Records, MIGHT OF LILITH) were the perfect solution for THY BLEEDING SKIES.

Finally a bass player was found in Patrick Uhlmann (THUMBRAISER / Whirlwind Records), who is the manager of SACRIFICIUM.

In November they booked the BREAKSTUFF studio in Germany for the guitar, bass and vocal recordings of their debut CD "Chapters Of Downfall". Drums were recorded in December at C.C.P.C. studio in Finland that also the great AMORPHIS used in the past. The release date will be in the beginning of 2008.

After the recording session THY BLEEDING SKIES signed a contract with Dark Balance Records from Netherlands. The release date will be the 05th May 2008.

In April 2008 THY BLEEDING SKIES did a tour together with DOCILE (NL) through Europe.

The guitar section was stocked up with Oliver Grosshans (MY DARKEST HATE,ex SACRED STEEL) in May 2008.

Right now THY BLEEDING SKIES are writing new material for a new album that should be released in 2009. Be prepared!!!
